The brainchild of Sukhinder & Rajbir Singh, two brothers with a passion for fine spirits and over forty years experience in the off-trade between them, Speciality Drinks Limited began online trading in 1999 with the launch of their first website, www.thewhiskyexchange.com.
Over the last few years the website has gone from strength to strength and is now an internationally-recognised treasure trove for connoisseurs and collectors of fine spirits, with Single Malt whisky at the forefront. The range now stands at around 1500+ whiskies, with hundreds of cognacs, rums and other spirits also available.
The time has now come for a dedicated website for these ‘other’ spirits and liqueurs, as the range of products has expanded considerably over the last few years, and the Whisky Exchange site is not the obvious choice for customers in search of, say, single estate cognac or aged tequila.
To this end, we have now launched www.specialitydrinks.com, a platform for the previously undiscovered hidden gems from the Whisky Exchange’s extensive collection – a selection of around 1000 very diverse products, many of which have not been available to the retail public before now.
It is hoped that with the introduction of this new site a whole range of products normally only seen on the shelves of UK style bars can become more accessible to the increasingly sophisticated and demanding online market.
Catering for everyone from amateur mixologists to specialist collectors and connoisseurs, we expect the new site to become as prominent in its target marketplace as The Whisky Exchange website. In addition to whisky, the site will showcase a vast selection of cognac, armagnac, rum, vodka, gin, tequila and liqueurs to a wide audience of newly-aware consumers hungry for knowledge and thirsty for sophisticated new drinks experiences.
