The sixth release of Edradour's limited edition 2003 vintage bourbon cask whisky. Distilled in February and bottled at 10 years of age on December 17 2013. A beautifully presented release from the Highlands's smallest distillery.
A ten year old, elegantly peaty single malt from Nikka's beautiful Yoichi distillery in Hokkaido, where whisky is made as it used to be in Scotland with small direct-fired stills and matured in the finest wood the company can find. Bottled at 45% for extra oomph. On the face of it, this is expensive for a ten year old whisky, but it's well worth the money in quality terms.
Matured exclusively in oak sherry casks from Spain, Macallan 10yo is a deep, rich, deliciously smooth and well-rounded flavour with a slight sweetness and touch of sherry and wood. Its deep colour is achieved wholly naturally without the addition of any colouring.
The third and final release in Springbank distillery's Rundlets and Kilderkins series, this time it's triple distilled Hazelburn that was maturing in the titular 60 and 80 litre casks between 2003 and January 2014. Small casks mean lots of wood contact and this combines the elegant Hazelburn with lots of wood influence for an oaky dram.
A noticeably darker colour for this special sherry-finished Tyrconnell single malt from the Cooley distillery. Bottled at the ideal strength of 46%, this picked up a well-deserved gong at the World Whisky Awards 2010.
This is Millstone's 10 years old aged in French Oak. However this cask was actually bottled at 13 and a half years old. This is made at Zuidam's distillery in Baarle-Nassau, where they also produce, rum, genever and liqueurs.
An old presemtation bottling of Macallan's 10 Year Old Fine Oak – matured in Bourbon & Sherry Oak Casks. This range has been around for a few years now and seems to have weathered the storm it caused amongst the faithful when it was initially released.
Hellyers Road's flagship expression is produced from Tasmanian-grown malted barley, rainwater blown in by the 'Roaring Forties' winds and yeast. This is matured in American white oak barrels for 10 years and is bottled with its natural colour.
