A bottle of 12 year old Bowmore bottled in the 1980s. This bottle is unusual as it gives the company name as Morrison Howat, rather than the usual Morrison. This makes some sense, as the company was originally founded by Messrs Stanley Morrison and James Howat, and we think this was a shortlived subsidiary.
A limited edition 12 year old sherry matured Macallan originally only available to distillery visitors in the mid-2000s. Each of the 1000 bottles has a correspondingly numbered tree planted in the distillery's ground.
Four beautifully engraved bottles of cask strength Japanese whisky: 12 year-old malts from Yoichi and Miyagikyou, a 12 yo single Coffey grain and the last bottle is a blend of the other three. A superb set.
A wonderful old bottling of Caol Ila 12yo from the 1980s featuring the classic orange Bulloch Lade label with the capital Ls seeming to emphasise the correct 'Co-LEEL-a' pronunciation.
Very old Cadenhead's bottling from the 70s - check out that retro font! This is from a little-seen distillery that never released an official bottling during its lifetime and which has been silent since 2002.
A special and rare bottling of Teaninich single malt, more usually found these days as part of Johnnie Walker. This was released in 1991 to celebrate the reopening of the distillery, closed since 1985, and a visit from the Highland Regional Council, Ross & Cromarty Distinct council and the Ross & Cromarty Local Enterprise Company.
