A historic moment: TWE's first Finnish whisky! Teerenpeli distillery was founded in 2002 at the brewery of the same name in Lahti, Finland, and the name means 'flirtation' or 'dalliance'. We tried this 8yo at Whisky Live and were knocked out at how balanced and tasty it was - this is a very well-made whisky and is destined to be a huge hit.
The 2004 vintage of Teerenpeli's 8 year old. Teerenpeli distillery was founded in 2002 in Lahti, Finland. Despite being a distillery in its infancy, the future looks very promising, with the bottlings so far having been very well received.
A bottle of Basil Hayden's 8 Year Old Bourbon. Created in 1796 by Basil Hayden, who went against the grain (no pun intended) by adding in rye into the traditional corn-based mashbill. It was a huge hit and today is one of Jim Beam's 'Small Batch' range of bourbons.
A special bottling to celebrate the partnership between Benromach and the 'Glasgow: Scotland with Style' Clipper in the Clipper 07-08 Round the World Yacht Race. This is from a single cask and is bottled at 55% - the same as the latitude of Glasgow.
A bottle of Buchanan's 8 year old blend. The brand was created by James Buchanan in 1884, five years after he arrived in London. The aim of the whisky was to create "a blend which had the perfect balance of body and flavour". We estimate this was bottled in the 1980s.
Please note the label on this bottle is slightly damaged as shown in the photograph.
The fourth official release of Bruichladdich's heavily-peated Port Charlotte single malt came out in 2009, arriving the same week that it was named Best Whisky at the 2009 Whisky Fringe in Edinburgh. PC8 Ar Duthchas has been amongst the most highly-regarded of this hugely sought-after series ever since.
