Brugal is the market-leading rum in the Dominican Republic and is now a familiar sight in bars up and down the UK after being taken on by a major drinks distributor. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out.
A Dominican rum recently enjoying a big upsurge in popularity in the UK after being taken on by a major drinks distributor. Brugal is a great mixing rum, with a distinctly different taste and is now an established player in the UK bar scene.
This special edition from Dominican producer Brugal has been double-distilled and matured in American oak before a second maturation period in sherry casks to add a dose of dried fruit and leathery sweetness to the flavours.
A very limited 2013 release of just 500 bottles, Brugal Papá Andrés was originally blended by the family to be served at family celebrations. Until now, the only bottles that ever became available were sold through charity auctions. Aged in a mixture of European sherry and American oak barrels and American oak. Presented in a crystal decanter in a treasure chest style box with accompanying rum production book.
