A 1998 vintage Guyana rum from Mezan, distilled at the now closed and hard to say Uitvlugt distillery. This would have been distilled on their four column Savalle still, which lives on at the state owned Demerera Distillers company.
A 1998 vintage rum from Westerhall in Grenada, bottled by Mezan. Westerhall has been a sugar and rum producer since the 1700s but didn't get round to bottling a rum for sale until 1978. This is lighter and less smoky than other Caribbean rums with light toffee and a hint of mocha.
A 1990 vintage rum from Mezan, distilled at Guyana's Enmore distillery, now closed since 1993. Enmore was the home of the country's famous wooden coffey still, now relocated to the state owned Demerara Distillers Ltd's distillery, and this rum would have been distilled using it.
