Plantation Rum

Plantation 3 Star Rum is a blend of rums from the "3 Stars of the Caribbean" (Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad). These Rums have been expertly blended by the the Cognac Ferrand Cellar Master.

An excellent rum from Guatemala available in Europe thanks to the links between the distillery and Cognac Ferrand (the owners of the Plantation brand), who have been trading casks and rum for years. This rum was transferred from Guatemala to Cognac where it was filled into Cognac casks for up to a year before bottling. 5/5 in Class Magazine's August 2011 issue.

A 2001 vintage Nicaraguan rum, distilled in column stills and then aged in bourbon casks for a fruity flavour with hints of smoke and caramel.

A very high-strength dark golden Trinidad rum from the lively Plantation company. This should be excellent, but should be used responsibly and with caution.

A 2003 vintage Grenadan rum bottled by Plantation, home of 2012 Golden Barrel Awards Rum Blender of the Year, Alexandre Gabriel. A delicate and fruity aged rum with lots of complexity.

One of our favourites in the Plantation range, Panama 2000 knocked our socks off when we first tried it at 2011's Rumfest, and it wowed the judges at the Miami Rum Festival in the same year, scooping the Best Gold Rum under 12 years gong. Soft and smooth, with toasty vanilla and banana aromas and flavours - this is a star.

Another excellent vintage rum from the marvellous Plantation stable. Jamaica 2000 is a full-bodied pot-distilled rum, mature with plenty of tropical fruit flavours.

Another vintage release from the Plantation range of rums, this Barbados golden rum is from the 2000 vintage.

Distilled at Angostura in Trinidad and blended by brand owners Cognac Ferrand, Plantation Trinidad is spicy and chocolatey with a pleasingly dry finish.

We love Guyanese rum here at TWE - with XM and El Dorado being particular favourites - so this vintage golden rum from top bottlers Plantation is a very welcome addition to our shelves. A generous palate with a hint of smoke, perhaps as a result of being distilled in wooden stills...

A very handsomely presented decanter-style bottle of Plantation Extra Old rum from Barbados. Unusually, the rums are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks, before being trasported to Charente (home of the bottlers, cognac producer C. Ferrand) and undergoing a second maturation in small French oak casks. 94 points from the Beverage Tasting Institue in Chicago.

Plantation are experimenters in the world of rum and this is no different - a 1998 Guadeloupe rum that has finished its maturation in a Sauternes cask.

A multi-vintage rum from Plantation, mixing Trinidad produced spirit from 1999, 2001 and 2003.
