An awesome rum - winner of a Platinum medal and ranked in First Place by the prestigious Beverage Tasting Institue in Chicago, with a whopping 97 points. Interestingly, now that industry giants Diageo are distributing Zacapa, the '23 years old' age statement has suddenly been dropped and replaced with a somewhat more plausible claim - the rums used are aged between 6 and 23 years old and are blended together in a solera.

Reserva Limitada is Ron Zacapa's annual release. Selected by master blender Lorena Vazquez, this is a blend of reserve rums aged between 6 and 24 years in a combination of sherry and charred American white oak casks.
This limited-release Zacapa XO Solera Gran Reserva Especial (in a stylish flat decanter) won Gold in the Super-Premium category at the International Rum Festival for several years after its release in 2000, and was given the Platinum award for the Super-Premium category in 2002.
