Pere Magloire is a Calvados house with a rich history. Established in 1821, by 1900 it was the number one selling Calvados brand in France. Owned by iconic champagne producer Veuve Clicquot from 1968 to 1998, it was then taken over by a family company from Normandy. Their VSOP is deliciously fruity and spends 4 years in oak casks.
Once France's best selling Calvados brand in the 1900s, Pere Magloire has a rich history. This was bottled in the same year as previous owners, legendary Champagne house, Veuve Clicquot, took over. 'Age Inconnu' was an old version of the XO classification, which indicated the spirit was aged for at least six years, but in reality was often much longer.
