A 2004 vintage whisky from Balmenach, the location at the centre of Inver House's group of distilleries. It mainly goes into blended whisky and doesn't have an official bottling but a small amount gets out through independents like Gordon & Macphail.
A single cask bottling of 1988 vintage Balmenach, hand picked by The Whisky Exchange and bottled by Signatory at 25 years of age. While you don't see many whiskies from this distillery, this one was a must pick as soon as we tried it - classic bourbon cask whisky, well-aged and packed with flavour.
A bottling of 1983 vintage Balmenach from Douglas Laing as part of the Directors' Cut series. This one was distilled in September and matured for 30 years in a refill hogshead before bottling in December 2013.
Balmenach's entry in the Flora and Fauna range, from the days when it was owned by United Distillers (who later became Diageo). Increasingly rare and as of 2011 the only official bottling to appear from the distillery. Hopefully new owners Inver House will remedy this soon.
