A gift pack containing a bottle of Glenmorangie's 18 year old, two ball markers, a golden golf ball and two glasses. The whisky itself is matured for 15 years in American white oak casks, after which around 30% is transferred to Spanish Oloroso casks for the final three years.
A rare old bottling of 10 year old Glenmorangie. Unusually for this whisky, it also carries a vintage, 1992, which we presume was something to satisfy the recipients, the Japanese market. It's rare to see a cask strength version of Glenmorangie 10 too.
An old litre bottling of Glenmorangie 10 year old, originally sold in the travel retail sector. We estimate this was bottled in the 1970s, at a time when the distillery had its own maltings and just before the number of stills was doubled from two to four.
Rounded and luxurious, Glenmorangie 25 yo has some lovely floral and citrus flavours alongside the spices and toasty sweetness one would expect from a quarter century in the wood. A brilliantly-made dram that lives up to the luxury image LVMH are pushing for the brand.
Glenmorangie's Sonnalta PX is the second of their Private Collection bottlings after 2008's release of Astar. Sonnalta PX has been finished in casks formerly containing Pedro Ximenez. A great success at TWE tastings in Vinopolis. Whisky Bible 2010: Best Scotch New Brand; Whisky Bible 2012: Best No Age Statement Single Malt Scotch (Multiple Casks); 96.5 Points
A 1975 vintage Glenmorangie released especially for the duty free market in 2001. It takes 16 employees to run the production side of the distillery, the reason every bottle carries the phrase "Handcrafted by the Sixteen Men of Tain".
A 1974 vintage Glenmorangie bottled in 2000, specially for the duty free market. The best selling malt in the UK when it was bottled, this was handcrafted by the sixteen men of Tain (the distillery famously only uses 16 staff in the production process).
A rare 1990 vintage Glenmorangie. One of only 216 bottles released worldwide from first fill bourbon cask number 5979. Each bottle is hand numbered and signed by Dr Lumsden. The distillery have rather a lot of casks to choose from, so when they single out to bottle on its own, it's bound to be good.
