Kilchoman Single Malt Whisky

The second release of Kilchoman's ongoing Machir Bay whisky, bottled in early 2013. It's a vatting of four and five year old whisky matured in first fill bourbon casks, married and then finished in Oloroso sherry butts for four weeks before bottling. From the little sip we tried in early March 2013 it's another cracker.

The first edition of Kilchoman's ongoing sherry cask matured whisky. Richly coloured, and full of Islay smoke and sherry fruit thanks to its initial maturation of over 5 years in Oloroso sherry butts and a two month finish in Oloroso hogsheads.

A first for Kilchoman - a whisky distilled and matured on Islay as usual, but also only using grain grown on the island. It's only a 3 year old but has a lot to it, as we've come to expect from Kilchoman.

A rare bottle of Kilchoman's not-quite-whisky, caught at just over 2 years old. It was distilled on 13th December 2006 and bottled on 27th April 2009, giving an insight into the way this surprising spirit ages.

A single cask bottling of Kilchoman whisky which was bottled exclusively for Whisky Import Nederland. Matured in an ex-bourbon barrel for 3 years and bottled and a mighty 61.8%.

The premium version of Kilchoman's 100% Islay inaugural release - a vatting of 3 casks from their first batch of whisky made using barley grown on their farm, malted at the distillery and then matured at the distillery.
