Springbank 10's relatively light colour belies its richness of character. The nose moves from citrus fruits to pears and a hint of peat, while the palate shows touches of smoke, vanilla essence, nutmeg, cinnamon and the salty tang characteristic of the distillery. A pack of three 20cl bottles from the splendid Springbank distillery, showcasing each of the three different malts made at the distillery, including the peated Longrow and the 12 year old triple-distilled Hazelburn alongside the flagship Springbank 10 year old itself.
Another fine malt for a Havana, Springbank 15yo has an almost bewildering array of flavours: dark chocolate, figs, marzipan, brazil nuts and vanilla are just some of the notes on show. Absolutely top-class.

It's taken over a decade, but here we have the second edition of Springbank CV. After the widespread acclaim for the Longrow CV released in 2009, and the distillery's recent renaissance after a couple of so-so years, we expect this to be one of the hits of 2010.
A 2004 vintage Springbank bottled at 9 years of age. The first four years was spent in refill bourbon casks, with the final five years maturation taking place in casks that were formerly used for Barolo from legendary producer Gaja.
The hugely popular Springbank 18 year old. The first edition of this was extremely popular, with more than a hint of sherry amongst the Springbank brine and smoke, and this version has already been named as Best Campbeltown Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2014.

Something of a curio, this one - a cask strength single malt from Springbank distillery, with more than a hint of smoke about it, suggesting it might actually be one of the distillery's other single malts. Strong and youthful, this is an assertive dram with notes of flax, wet peat, hay and pear eau de vie.
After the runaway success of 2007's first bottling, hopes were high for version 2.0 - so we were delighted to find another stunner. This is less sweet and more sooty and savoury than the first batch. A triumph, again.
A 1991 vintage bottling of Springbank, aged in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 12 years old. This was distilled the year before Springbnak reintroduced the on-site maltings, so would have been one of the last spirits to be distilled using imported barley.
The first edition of Springbank CV. A vatting of many different cask types and sizes, this was released in the mid 1990s. To quote Springbank themselves "What does CV mean? Chairman's Vat? Currriculum vitae? Cuvee of Vintages? It means whatever you want it to mean, enjoying the whisky is the most important thing".
A special whisky commissioned by Gordon Wright and the Soil Association and produced by Springbank. This is the first completely organic single malt whisky produced. Bottled specially for the Millennium and named Dà Mhìle, which is Gaelic for 2000.
