A very modern distillery, Tamnavulin was established in Speyside in 1966 during one of the industry’s periodic booms and was one of the most recent distilleries to be built before the current crop of newcomers (Arran, Kilchoman etc).

A 21 year old Tamnavulin from the Single Malts of Scotland range, distilled in 1991 and bottled in September 2013. One of the hits of The Whisky Show 2013, this is packed with green grassy notes and gently balanced by honeyed sweetness.
Whyte & Mackay's now defunct range for older whiskies was called the Stillman's Dram. This is a 25 year old Tamnavulin, a distillery which was only founded in 1966 and was mothballed from May 1995 to 2007 We estimate this was distilled in the 1970s.

An astonishingly old refill barrel Tamnavulin 1968, bottled in March 2014 by Douglas Laing for its Directors' Cut series. Distilled in November, it was aged for 45 long years in refill barrel 10279 which produced just 74 bottles.
