A Signatory Un-Chillfiltered bottling of 1995 vintage whisky from Miltonduff. A vatting of three ex-bourbon barrles distilled on February 23rd 1995 and bottled on March 18th 2013 after 18 years of maturation.
An distillery-bottled 15yo Tormore at 46%, originally released some time around the end of the 1990s when the distillery was still owned by Allied Domecq. This bottling has become rarer and rarer since being replaced by the official 12yo in 2004.
A 2000 vintage Aultmore bottled by Gordon & Macphail as part of their Connoisseurs Choice range. This was bottled two years after Diageo sold the owning company of the distillery to Bacardi in a deal worth more than £1bn. Aged in refill sherry casks, this has notes of spice, wood and herbs.
A 15 year-old expression of Singleton of Dufftown, Diageo's easy-drinking Speysider. This is a mix of European and American oak casks, producing a smooth, sweet, approachable style and a spicy, drying finish.
A 1998 vintage Linkwood from independent bottlers Signatory as part of their Un-Chillfiltered Collection. Distilled on 5th November, it was matured in bourbon barrels 11777 and 11778 for 15 years before being bottled on 20th February 2014.
The 2001 vintage is a 2012 addition to the The Glenrothes range. The brand is owned by historic wine & spirit merchants Berry Brothers & Rudd and releases its whiskies by vintage rather than by age, in keeping with the owner's wine-related history.
A 1997 vintage whisky from Benrinnes, bottled by Gordon & Macphail for the Connoisseurs Choice range. Not a lot of whisky from the distillery gets out as single malt, being a blenders favourite, but fortunately G&M have impressive stocks hidden away in their warehouses...
A 1995 vintage Glen Keith from independent bottlers Signatory as part of their Un-Chillfiltered Collection. Distilled on 8th November, it was matured in hogsheads 171196 and 171199 for 18 years before being bottled on 4th February 2014.
