Pravda is a handmade premium vodka from southern Poland, where it is distilled using late harvest 'sweet' rye and very pure springwater from the nearby Carpathian mountains. Perhaps uniquely, after a five-stage column distillation, Pravda is then redistilled in a copper still to impart a smoother quality to the spirit.
Developed by Master Blender Börje Karlsson, the man who came up with the recipe for Absolut, Karlsson's Gold is made from Swedish new potatoes and instead of being distilled ad infinitum, has been very carefully distilled just once to preserve the flavour and character of the ingredients. This is not just some style-bar gimmick, but a real vodka with real flavour - Bravo.
A premium Fairtrade vodka from French pioneers Fair - pioneers because they use Bolivian quinoa as the base grain for their vodka, a grain better known as a superfood and vegetarian protein replacement. The quinoa travels over to Cognac, where Fair's team brew and distill the vodka, before sending it out around the world.
A terrific rye vodka, distilled just twice and bottled without charcoal filtration to retain its full-flavoured nuttiness. Potocki is one of the best Polish vodkas on the market.

An exciting variant from Belvedere, made not with black raspberries (as the name might suggest) but blackcurrants and raspberries, with a hint of rose petal. Serve long with soda, lime and plenty of ice for a delicious summer cooler.

A very limited edition run - just 1000 bottles - of this highly unusual vodka from Chase distillery, which has been smoked with English oak for an intriguingly delicious flavour almost reminiscent of a fine reposado tequila or mezcal. This is superb, and was named as Best Potato Vodka in a recent taste-test by Harper's Wine & Spirit magazine.
A new Absolut flavoured with - wait for it - mango and pepper! Sounds strangely wonderful. All profits to a good cause - Gulf Coast charities in the stricken city of New Orleans.
A superb vodka, whose original limited edition release completely sold out, from the splendid Chase distillery. This is flavoured with Seville Orange Marmalade and is brilliant in mixed drinks - try with grapefruit juice and a spot of grenadine.
