A 100% agave reposado tequila from Tierra de Agaves, Lunazul is part-owned by Heaven Hill Dsitilleries. The brand has a marketing riff based on the 'spirit of the wolf', but we won't hold that against them.
A special release of Tapatio's unaged blanco tequila, bottled at a higher strength of 55% (110 proof). A more concentrated flavour, with pepper and fruit, which works well when sipped but can also hold up to other strong flavours in cocktails.
901 is a super-premium silver 100% agave tequila, which is, unusually, triple-distilled. However its main claim to fame is that it's part-owned by Justin Timberlake. But don't let that put you off, it's already scored 90 points (Excellent / Highly Recommended) on tequila.net.
A gorgeous 100% agave tequila from La Altena distillery, home of Master Distiller Carlos Camarena. A truly authentic handmade anejo, Tapatio is distilled to strength and bottled without dilution to retain the true flavours of the spirit. This anejo is aged for around 18 months in ex-bourbon casks.
A bottle of Reserva de Mexico Tequila Blanco. Produced at Agroindustrias Casa Ramirez, this is made from 100% Agave and comes in the brand's distinctively shaped bottle and attractive label. This is an excellent value blanco Tequila and will lend itself to use in cocktails.
Aqua Riva Premium Reposado tequila is produced from 8 year old blue agave and pure volcanic spring water from Jalisco. Aged for at least 6 months for a light and delicate flavour, this has notes of almonds, apricots and dark chocolate. The brand is owned by celebrity Cleo Rocos.
A top-quality 100% agave tequila, Arette has become a firm favourite of UK bartenders and connoisseurs since its introduction in 2007. This anejo has delicious sweet vanilla alongside peppery notes and a silky mouthfeel. Excellent stuff.
Aged for 11 months (just one month short of being classed as an anejo), Herradura claim to be the first company to age their tequilas in wood, making this the first ever reposado. Superbly integrated flavours.
