Blanco tequila (also known as 'silver') is the original, un-aged style with the freshest, most intense agave character. This spans a range of herbaceous, earthy, vegetal notes including grilled peppers, fruitiness such as citrus, while the range of spices features cinnamon and nutmeg.
A traditionally made tequila from Jalisco, Tezon is made from agave hearts crushed using an old-school stone tahona that itself is made from 'Tezontle', a volcanic rock. Twice distilled for a clean tasting spirit.
Chamucos, which means devil or demon in Mexico, is made from 100% Weber Blue Agave under the watchful eye of master distiller Wilfrido Ortega Casas. A number of techniques are applied to bring the best out of these Agave plants including "playing Classical music during distillation".
A phenomenal smooth, spicy blanco. Siete Leguas means 'seven leagues' and was the name of Pancho Villa's favourite horse. The company that produces Siete Leguas is most famous for having produced Patron at the time when that brand was building its reputation as the best premium tequila in town. Not cheap, but a must-have for tequila nuts.
