Ardbeg 1998 - Almost There 70cl / 54.1% Following on from Very Young and Still Young, this bottling shows the final stage in the evolution of young cask-strength Ardbeg before it becomes the standard-issue 10 yr-old. As you would expect, this is a mellower, more rounded, better balanced dram than the earlier incarnations. £71.51 inc. VAT (£60.86 ex. VAT) Ardbeg 1998 / Renaissance 70cl / 55.9% Here at last! It's the Ardbeg Renaissance, the end of the series that began with the 'Very Young' 6yo. This is the first 10-year old Ardbeg that is entirely comprised of spirit produced after Glenmorangie's takeover of the distillery in 1997. £54.99 inc. VAT (£46.80 ex. VAT) Ardbeg Uigeadail 70cl / 54.2% A fine drop of Ardbeg bottled at cask strength. A marriage of Ardbeg from bourbon barrel and sherry butt which gives a sweet and smokey finish to this malt. Uigeadail is the loch from which all Ardbeg water flows. This year's batch of Uigeadail has more sherry influence and is an absolutely stunning whisky. £44.43 inc. VAT (£37.82 ex. VAT) Balvenie 17 Year old / Sherry Oak 75cl / 43% A new release from Balvenie is always something to be cheerful about. VAT) Bushmills 1608 / 400th Anniversary 70cl / 46% A special bottling to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the license to distil aqua vitae in Antrim originally granted in 1608 to Sir Thomas Phillips.
