Best New Year Whiskies Under £50

We've long been of the opinion that you don't need to spend a fortune to enjoy a great whisky at New Year - in fact, some of the world's greatest drams can be had for a relatively modest price. 

To prove our point, we've put together a list of some of our favourite whiskies under £50, with the emphasis on picking malts and blends that are particularly suited to wintry weather.  There's a mix of old favourites and recent arrivals here, and although these drams cover the whole spectrum of different styles of whisky, we believe they have two things in common: they'll be great whiskies for a dram at New Year and they all represent fantastic value for money.  We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
