Each year Whisky Advocate magazine select a number of whiskies to be singled out as the best in their category. Rather than just picking the bottlings with the highest scores they look beyond the numbers to choose whiskies which have made a splash and deserve recognition beyond a number of stars or a score out of 100.

Now in it's 19th year, here are the 2012/2013 winners.
