Blanton's is the bourbon that kick-started the renaissance of premium American Whiskey. Introduced in the mid-1980s by industry legend Elmer T. Lee while he was in charge at what is now the Buffalo Trace distillery (which still produces Blanton's today), Blanton's was the first commercially-produced single barrel bourbon and its success laid the foundations for the revival of the bourbon industry and the thriving market in small batch and single barrel super-premium bourbons that are now eagerly snapped up by connoisseurs.
