if you are looking for a netural lephroaig, this isent it,not overly bad but not nearly as peaty, smokey or salty for the price go for cask strenght, that is the biggest peat kick i have ever had from a whiskey needs water at 58% tough.

It's not at all a bad whisky, but I guess I expected more. I like the nose and lingering aftertaste the most. Quite like the quarter cask, but sweeter fragrances. But as I said, not a bad whisky.

Sorry Paul, don't think you'll have much luck looking for a barrel of triple wood - it's a blend of three different types of cask, after all. If you just want a barrel of Laphroaig you might have more luck with a whisky broker - try the whisky forums for more details, but be aware that casks are not cheap and Laphroaig can be hard to find at the best of times - otherwise, everyone would just have a barrel in their garage :).

Love it. Conundrum - want to drink it all the time but want to save it. Contemplating buying a barrel but I need someone to sell it to me - Whisky Exchange?
