A delicious bilberry liqueur from Lejay-Lagoute, packaged in their recognisable reto-styled bottle. The bilberry is often confused with the blueberry, of which it is a close relative, but is richer and more fully-flavoured. Try this with sparkling wine instead of cassis for a superbly alternative kir royale. Will also greatly enhance fruit pies and cakes.

Clear, deep maroon red with purple tints.

Aroma
Soft and subdued blueberry fruit with faint gingerbread and cardamom.

Taste
Very rich, syrupy palate with jammy blueberry and fresh fruit with faint gingerbread.

Aftertase
Medium length clean fruit with  ginger heat and lingering fruit tartness.
