I'm now going on my third bottle of Elijah since my first encounter. I've been hunting for a superior whiskey and will pay as much as twice what Elijah will cost and can't find anything that compares.

Bought this from TWE a couple of weeks back and it's the best bourbon I've had by some distance. Nose - Dried fruit and cola Taste - Rich dark chocolate, butter and oak Finish - Mild spice & warmth Absolutely superb!

If you enjoy the 12 year old Elijah Craig, you must buy the 18 year old bourbon whiskey. This is superior! A bit smokier in taste, and is smooth to the taste.

A fantastic Bourbon and probably my favourite in and around this price range. I'm a novice when it comes to describing this fine liquor but I will say it has a beautiful nose, great taste and a smooth finish that belies it's strength. Got this for Chrimbo along with a Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban and Elijah wins hands down but maybe that's down to my preference for Bourbon over scotch.

Fantastic value for money. Great bourbon.

In my opinion one of the best bourbons for it's price range and certainly a must have on those cold lonely winter nights. It has such a nice matured oak taste with hints of spices and caramel and is quite sharp on the palate that reminds you that you're drinking a classic whiskey. Will certainly be buying again.

I'm usually a Scotch drinker, but my late father enjoyed bourbon, and this became his favorite after I bought him his first bottle a dozen or so years ago. Smooth, flavorful, and quite nicely priced. When I drink bourbon, I drink Craig, usually neat, but on occasion with a tear or two in remembrance of dad.

Nose: cola, brown suger, cinnamon, oak, caramel, smokey char, juicey sweet corn, new york cheese cake, leather.Palate: Sweet buttery, caramel, cola, arrival with a smooth and spicey development that reveals smoke and burnt suger with a lovely warming finish. Mark: 90/100 Remarkable dram for the price!

My first bourbon and greatly enjoyed it, and went thru the bottle rather quickly. I will definately buy another bottle

This one is absolutely amazing. From time to time i like to experiment with different drams. Usually stick to my scotch but this one is a beauty. And the price!...

truly world class. a joy with every mouthfull.

One guy mentioned the barrel overpowered this fine bourbon, I agree the taste of wood and oak is prominent in this bourbon, but I see that as a plus. If you dont want infused taste then go for a younger model, or indeed scotch. I find the nose is strong oak, the taste is mild caramel and a strong rye edge, I detected fruit in there somewhere. The burn was minimal. Very enjoyable.

Super super stuff - only thing better than the smell is the taste.......

Only a recent convert from from Cider..Drank things like Jack Daniel's..But i tried this and bough a bottle straight away...wow what a Bourbon this is, very clean flavor..and very easy on the nose..Would buy this all the time now.

in contrast to the other customer reviews, and Jim Murray, I thought this bourbon was very poor. it has been overpowered by the barrel and has a strong oak flavour and smell. jim beam small batch, which i was comparing it with was the clear winner. much better balanced. I could not recommend this bourbon to anyone because of its character which is extremely hard to approach. I am an on the rocks drinker, and although this bourbon has a lot of body, and a long finish, its character is terrible.

A true classic and in my opinion the bench mark for all bourbons at the £20-25 price. Been my personal staple for the last 18 months and compared to any "commercially recognised" bourbons, it is simply a different class. Carmel and vanilla hints await, simply brilliant
