Expected marvellous symphony and got a nice bourbon barrel malt. I felt itto be kinda vatted malt experience so take it positively or not.

The classic sweet'n'peat, vanillaed Port Ellen profile. Not sharp and not too smooth either - just right. A slight mustiness on the nose goes away after a while. Not a stellar, top-notch bottling, but you wouldn't expect that at this price. Quintessential 'everyday' PE, with the kind of profile that I love.
