N: Floral notes, citrus (esp. grapefruit), green beans & hot-buttered corn on the cob.
P: Big and strong but well-rounded. A big, big chilli hit, with plenty of coal and lemon juice. Then the peat comes roaring through. Absolutely massive palate. Literally mouth-watering, becomes very briney.
F: Long. Very spicy and the lemon tang lingers as well.
With water, nose seems sweeter, spices are more prominent and the palate becomes nuttier.
Comment: Not the most subtle malt you're ever going to try, but it's hard not to love this boisterous dram. Massive peat and spices make this a hugely enjoyable whisky.
