I must disagree. The Glenfiddich 15 has a fantastically high rating on proof66, easily the leader under US$100, and I had high expectations of the Distillery Edition available at airport duty free. I find it very ordinary. The Glenlivet Nadurra and Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban both better. And the Lagavulin 16 is a different animal, but also much better. Alongside all these, the Glenfiddich 15 Distillery Edition is unremarkable and charmless. I'll look out for the regular 15 but won't buy the Distillery Edition again.

Simply fantastic! Ordered June 9th,tracking info on June 10th and delivered June 13th. My god, but that is efficient! What a delightful treat it was to open the bottle and pour the first drink! I am by no means an expert, but I do know what I like. Compared to the 18YO, this was less sweet and less peaty, but had a fantastic aroma and exquisite flavor. Smoky enough for me, with great balanced malt feel and overall a better finish than others I have tried.

Not been drinking malts for too long so i'm here there and everywhere trying allsorts of different. This is one of a rare few that i've bought more than once. Considering it's a bit on the pricey side that's pretty big praise. You get a massive smack of flavours and expect a sharp burn to follow but not at all even though i only add a dash of water. Highly recommended.

Splendid nose with fruit and oak aromas. Round and oily body with very vibrant aromas. The fact that this GF was not chill-filtered and not-colored as well as being bottled at a higher ABV strength is decidedly rewarding for the refined scotch drinker: you can smell and taste every flavor that is originally intended to be there. There is definitely a kick to this dram, thanks to the 51% ABV. The most unique commercial GF out there if also not best value for the money.

Great dram! No chill-filtering and/or coloring. Not overly peaty. Complex nose, both with fruit aromas and some smoke, powerful but not empowering. very well balanced indeed. Possibly the best GF for the money. What a steal at this price!

I think this bottling is the only way to try GF at a decent strength and without chill-filtering - without breaking the bank, that is. And the result is very pleasant indeed. A complex nose, some lovely honey on the palate, and a long, warming finish. And very, very well balanced. Luscious, and dangerously drinkable. If only they would bottle more GF this way...

I love it much better, than a regular 15. A bit less smoky, it does not have anything to do with Islay's, like someone mentioned, commenting 15. Nice for enjoying alone.
