If you don't have the money to explore whiskies at upwards of £100, Glenfiddich 15 stands out as a quality whisky at an affordable price. Full of flavour, with a lovely finish. Don't bother with the 12, which is so inferior you might think it came from a different distillery. Similarly, don't spend the extra on the 18, which is a decent whisky, but in my opinion not as nice as the 15.

Just discovered 15 year old. Don't like 12 but 15 is a revelation! I will try the Laphroig angle sometime....

Very nice. A good beginners scotch.

This is a perfect single malt. A perfect balance of bourbon, sherry and first fill casks. It is mellow yet fresh. A galaxy ahead of the 12yo and much fresher than 18yo. If you will add a spoon of Laphroig 10yo, that makes it an ideal Scotch.
