I've just finished a mini of Bladnoch: same age, same strength. Could this be it? I must say I wasn't overly impressed. The nose was a muddle of flavours, most of them appended by an altogether too-insistent oakiness. In the mouth this is a better malt, with a body similar to lighter Speysides. It has been either too long in the cask, or not long enough. I'm not sure which but it didn't have the usual subtleness and mellowness of a malt aged beyond 15 years, in my opinion.
