Banff 1971 / 38 Year Old / Sherry Cask

Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Douglas Laing
Bottled in August 2009, this is a single sherry cask of the rather rare and obscure Banff distillery, which closed in 1983 and was destroyed by a fire in 1991. Bottled by Douglas Laing for their Old & Rare Platinum Selection. We're guessing that this must be a refill cask as the sherry influence is very subtle in this delicious, elegant whisky.
