Like all Classic Malt Distillers Editions, this Talisker has been double-matured in a second cask after the original maturation period (in this case in Amoroso Sherry casks). The experience is older, sweeter and richer than the regular bottlings. This Edition has a very special bitter-sweet harmony where the peat softens on the palate to a rich, sweet, juicy fruit finish.

Absolutely stunning. Far better than the 1999 edition.

I was bought a bottle for my 60th birthday by my son and I have to say it is the most pleasurable present I have ever recieved. I normally drink the 10 year old Talisker, but this is like nectar. Buy some now and you will love it!

In the Distillers Edition range I prefer the Lagavulin PX but this Talisker is not bad.I dont want to say I like a lot because for me a little bit too much the sherry influence but the Talisker classical spicy, peppery taste and the subtle smoke is there. For this money is a good deal.Once should to try.

quite possibly the best ever made.

An astonishingly lovely whisky. The Sherry wood influence is marked, but its sweet softness only serves to augments the spicy Talisker flavours. With water, it is almost like a prickly Speyside on the nose with barley cream, heather and a touch of smoke. Diageo have a real knack as far as wood finishes are concerned following on from the wonderful Caol Ila DE.
