Appearance: Clear, pale golden yellow. Aroma: Pungent and fruity - pineapple and red grapefruit juice with light sweet vanilla oak. Taste: Slightly sweet and fruity - grapefruit zest and pear, yet at the same time lightly aggressive with faint note reminiscent of oily paint. Aftertaste: Fruity finish with lingering notes of old-fashioned oil paint.

This rum makes the best Trinidad rum punch giving a true authentic taste. We lived in Trinidad where my Dad first picked up this recipe and it brings back such memories. Do hope you get it back in stock soon.
I have drunk vat19 for ever,why in heavens name is it being discontinued. I am 62 what else am I supposed to substitute it with.
My father drank this for years and picked up the nickname of Vat 19 amongst friends and family. Having also sampled it I can see why, such a smooth rum. I always thought it could be only purchased in N. Ireland, but I managed to pick up a few bottles in Benidorm. I too have also heard it is being discontinued in N. Ireland, perhaps sales are down since daddy vat 19 is no longer buying it.
I work in hospitality and have been informed that vat 19 is being discontinued which is why it is so hard to come across. We are having bother getting it too
Why is it becoming so difficult to buy this lovely rum in Northern Ireland, I have been drinking it for years. It is fab.
