If an individual prefers blended whiskies, Crown Royal in any version is an incredible blend!! If one enjoys blends but does not appreciate Crown Royal, there is a problem with the Drinker, not the Drink!

I'm new to whiskys and was recommended this, the delivery was undoubtedly great.
It's got a spectacular warmth to it and nice on the rocks.
I've finished my second now so I'm going to try the XR!

Very tasty, good in the new James Bond Cocktail, The Carte Blanche.2oz Crown Royal Whisky, Half oz Triple Sec, 2 Dashes Angostura, Orange Peel. Serve ina rocks glass with ice. Either that or sup it on it's own - it is superb!

This is a sweet whisky with a creamy mouth-feel and small hints of spice, but the finish is quite rough and quick. Overall I think that there are better light-tasting blends out there such as Cutty Sark.

Crown Royal is what I compare other medium-to-high priced whiskys to. It has a sweet, creamy taste with vanilla and not much burn. Easy to drink straight and tastes good when mixed. Try a Black Tooth Grin, which is a shot of Crown with just enough cola to make it dark.

Palate (undiluted): A sip of this will introduce the taster to gentle vanilla and honey. "Delicate" in a word is a way of describing how these flavors intermingle. You will also note faint oak in the background, which no doubt was contributed to by the time spent aging in barrels of all the whiskies composing this spirit. Finish (undiluted): Light, balanced and almost instantly the flavor is gone, prompting the taster to sip once more.

So pleased to have finally found somewhere in the UK that sells Crown Royal, it is an old favourite tipple of mine but so difficult to get hold of. A friend first introduced us to Crown Royal about 10 years ago after they brought some back from Canada and we have only ever been able to get it when travelling long haul (usually US) and have always savoured every drop. Will definately be ordering some from TWE now I know they stock it.
