A very handsomely presented decanter-style bottle of Plantation Extra Old rum from Barbados. Unusually, the rums are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks, before being trasported to Charente (home of the bottlers, cognac producer C. Ferrand) and undergoing a second maturation in small French oak casks. 94 points from the Beverage Tasting Institue in Chicago.

I have found a bridge between Rhum & Cognac with this exceptional beverage. The best sipping rhum for the money.

Fab! We had this instead of a dessert wine last night at NOPI and wow, what an amazing drink. As above vanilla etc but more pistachio mint ice-cream, honey and caramel. Fabulous, complex and well worth it.

Just fantastic, smooth, rich and a wonderful flavour, another great rum to come from Barbados, think I will move there and just drink Rum all day long!!!
