Distilled in Spring of 1983, this Port Ellen has been bottled from a single sherry butt early in 2010 by Douglas Laing for their McGibbon's Provenance range. A very approachable PE, with sweetness and oak more prominent than the phenols.

Provenance is a goody. This PE would be excellent when having a bourbon cask involved. The smoke looses its grip over this malt and eventually we get smokey raisins in here. Good intro to the PEs, still connaisseurs might get it only as it is.
