A cask-strength mystery Islay single malt whisky, from a south-coast distillery very rarely available as an independent bottling, this has been bottled by TWE to celebrate our 10th Anniversary online. Huzzah! Young and briny, with strong coal notes, a creamy edge and hints of smoked kippers.

The first impression is like an Ardbeg but the finish is like a Lgavulin.

Anyone know how old this is? 10YO?

Tastes like a Laphroig to me - albeit one with a sweet and rounded finish. I liked it (and I'm not usually a Laphroig fan - preferring Ardbeg, Lagavulin, Bowmore

Very rarely bottled by indie... Hmmm... Could it be?

It can be only one, since the other two are regularly available as independents...
