I perchased a 1ltr. bottle from Luanda, Angloa airport... bought in 1991 after a news shoot!... and polished it off this year... I thought that "10" years was enough time to wait?!!... and, as I discovered, that I don't get too much of a aftermath headache from Moskovskaya and tonic, or straight!, as I do from Gin & Tonic. It's the best!!

I bought a bottle of this in '81 in Addis Ababa airport on my return to Taiz. Booze was only available to most from smugglers in Mocha and variety was limited so I kept the vodka in the freezer waiting for the right time. One night when I was on my own, my wife having returned to UK as her term was approaching, I drank the best part of the bottle after dinner one evening on my balcony overlooking Taiz while reading and eating salted almonds. Moskovskaya is a fine vodka.

A fine and smooth Vodka, very pleasant. Nice on its own or with a mixer, next step up from Stoli
