A top-quality Cherry Brandy from De Kuyper, in small batches of 2500 bottles. This XO is made with 12yo Grande Champagne XO Cognac and a double dose of no less than four varieties of cherries (including Maraska) - as well as being packaged in a rather fabulous art deco bottle inspired by the brand's original 1920s packaging. Makes a wonderful luxury Blood & Sand cocktail:

1/4 Cherry Brandy
1/4 Scotch Whisky
1/4 Sweet Vermouth
1/4 Orange Juice

Method: Shake ingredients with ice, strain into chilled glass
Garnish: Orange zest twist

Appearance: brick red core with a mahogany rim


Nose: complex and intense bouquet of red and black cherry overlaid with almond and marzipan aromas


Palate: essence of cherries with a spicy nose on the finish

my father (still alive) was introduced to this liqued in 1945, whilst serving in the army at the end of 2rd world war.bought him a bottle last year for his 90th birthday and shared a glass or two with him,lovly jubely,now know why he has liked this tiple since his war days.
