absolutely fantastic, second bottle purchased Duty free in El Salvadore, small increase in price and huge flavoure difference above 10 yr, 12 yr even the 15yr Macallan in my circle of Scottish tasters !

Doesn't compare to the 12yr sherry, but still very nice nonetheless. Nice raisin aroma and smooth start with an almost ginger or rum cake finish. Could compete with Glenlevit French oak. JG

very disappointed. Bland and flat....lacks structure. For the price there are many better options...glenfidich, glemorangie, balvenie, etc.

Just amazing. Bought this in the duty-free on my way to Barcelona, opened it only when I came back home... what a mistake. This great whiskey in a great city like Barcelona could be an amazing combine!

perfect, love it...

Warming, subtle, smooth, slightly sulphuric, at 40% needs no water, has the distinctinve Macallan signature of quality and elegance. Enjoy as an aperitif, digestif, or indeed, any old time the mood takes... Slanje...

As nice a dram as I have had the pleasure of passing my lips.

Hunter: whisky does often change in the bottle as the level drops. Nowhere near as much as wine and other low proof drinks, but as the spirit oxidises there are noticeable changes over a longish period of time.

Christian: You seem to be confusing scotch whisky with wine. Wine matures over time in the bottle, especially if cellared properly. Scotch doesn't age in the bottle - how this Macallan tasted when you opened the bottle is how it will taste a month later or longer. If the level of the spirit in the bottle is going down, then I recommend using a cork or lid...

Not impressed. Has a wonderful, complex nose that doesn't deliver on the palate - quite bland and watery (although it has developed a little over time as the level of the spirit in the bottle has gone down). Picks up a bit again in the finish.

I stumbled on it at the Atlanta duty-free shop - a wonderful, smooth bottle that was enjoyed by many during my trip to Barcelona. I picked up a second on the way home to enjoy at a more leisurely pace.
