A Spring 2010 release from Kilchoman, Islay's new kid on the block. This is the third release of single malt from the distillery and has been matured for 3 years in a combination of fresh and refill bourbon barrels and finished for 3.5 months in active Oloroso sherry butts.

Wonderful, absolutly wonderful :D although it did, at first glance give me the impression of not being able to ever compete with the more experienced Islay productions this was abit of a shock. Its like having your tounge pummeled with a burning piece of wood dipped in chilli! (not that it tasted chilli mind you). It has a rather raw taste that doesn't quite put it amongst my top 10 but as a peathofiliac I strongly reccomend others of my kind to give it a try.
