Jefferson's Presidential Select 17 Year Old

This Jefferson's Presidential Select is a genuine treasure, being made up of some of the oldest stock yet released from the now-legendary Stitzel-Weller distillery, distilled in 1991, the year before the distillery closed for good. Stitzel-Weller had an unusual mash-bill, using wheat instead of rye as the second grain (much like Maker's Mark nowadays). Malt Advocate's John Hansell (who gave this a 96/100 review) has compared the S-W distillery to Port Ellen - legendary quality output, closed by a faceless corporation (Diageo in both cases) and never reopened.
