My wife just bought me a bottle for my 53rd birthday. It is not out of production, but they changed the label to clear plastic. That being said, it is very smooth, with hints of honey, vanilla, leather and oak. I'd never sully this with water or ice, it's perfect neat.

We have an unopened bottle of Old Weller Original 107 Barrel Proof, in a gift package, with two shot glasses. It has yellow lining in the box and beige and yellow on the latched box. The number on the bottle is 17761. It was a gift to my parents for their 40th anniversary in 1979.

I have a bottle of Old Weller, just like pictured above, and it is hand numbered, E1888. Can anyone assist in determining the signigance of the hand numbering? Thanx

Best cheap or expensive whiskey on the market.

Despite being a malt whisky fan (Scottish), I discovered Wellers in Kansas about 3 years ago. What a find.

From the U.S. I am 72 years old and have been drinking really good American Whiskey for about 42 years. This, without a doubt, is one of the finest. Has a very unique flavor that goes extremely well with broiled steaks, put it over ice and enjoy. Well worth the price.
