A recently-released special edition of Mount Gay, 1703 was the year the distillery was started, making it arguably the world's oldest surviving distillery. Blended by master distiller Allen Smith using rums aged between ten and thiry years old.
Bought a bottle on my last visit to the lovely Isle. Sublime!

Outstanding. This is the most cognac-like rum I have. Just superb, absolutely lingering, smooth, complex. First bottle is almost half way down but I have 2 more in stock :)It's needed to be said it won 2 awards at the recent Golden Rum Barrel Awards held in London. Best carribean rum aswell voted to be the best rum being aged for 15 years or more.Highly Recommended !!!

A rum worth a few lines. I tasted this during my visit in Barbados and in my surprise it was something next to excellent. Smooth on the nose and a warm and smooth taste. Bought two bottles of it, one for a whiskey club I'm a member of and one just for my self.
