Nose: clean and firm with quite a bit of orange peel and butterscotch, but also almonds, honey and a hint of bitterness. Palate: creamy and thoroughly spiced. The butterscotch immediately gets overpowered by the sherry notes, but soon the typical citrusy character of Auchentoshan returns. There is even a hint of pineapple. Adding a little water makes it even more creamy. Finish: medium long on citrus and green apples. This is a very nice Auchentoshan indeed.

Tempting nose, pear, apples and all kind of jams. Palate is almost unpenetrable. I have tried different amount off water, but it just won't open up. Over all, disappointment.
