Appearance: Clear, deep coppery amber.
Aroma: Crème caramel and oak dominates an appealing nose with mild cinnamon spice, nubuck leather, toffee apple and sweet madeira wine.
Taste: Intensely flavoured, initially dry, almost powdery oak with clove and cinnamon spice balanced by emerging honey and sherry-like sweetness, fudge and caramel, dates and burnt sultana fruit.
Aftertaste: Long burn currant and molasses finish with lingering cinnamon spice.
