Aged in a solera containing rums matured for between five and fourteen years, Botran Reserva is a superb Guatemalan rum made from virgin sugar cane honey, a much higher grade of sugar than molasses. Botran's rums are aged in a combination of old and re-charred ex-American whiskey casks along with sherry and port barrels, creating all kinds of different flavour profiles for their master blenders to work with.

Appearance: Clear, deep coppery amber.
Aroma: Crème caramel and oak dominates an appealing nose with mild cinnamon spice, nubuck leather, toffee apple and sweet madeira wine.
Taste: Intensely flavoured, initially dry, almost powdery oak with clove and cinnamon spice balanced by emerging honey and sherry-like sweetness, fudge and caramel, dates and burnt sultana fruit.
Aftertaste: Long burn currant and molasses finish with lingering cinnamon spice.
