Bruichladdich 10 Year Old

Mike: This has now been discontinued as they're releasing a new 10 year old made up of whisky distilled since the distillery reopened in 2000. This is a great whisky but increasingly rare, hence the price.

Ok not sure what's going on here! This is the first Bruiladdich I tried & it was less than £30 sainsbury's. I had a few bottles over a few years same price & even went & checked the bottles I still have with sloe gin in when I saw the price on here. Yep same whisky so what's with the £100 tag??? Now Sainsbury's only do the rocks.

This exceeded whatever vague expectations I may have had. 'Only 10 years?!' This is a very complex malt indeed and expresses the Islay style in such refreshingly different colours. The palate in particular is worth savouring. A little surprised by the price, mind you...
