City of London Gin is produced at the small City of London distillery which opened in November 2012. The distillery is based just off Fleet Street and is the first to open in the City of London in over 200 years. The distillery houses two copper stills which they use for producing their Gin and Vodka, and opens as a bar in the evenings. A modern London Dry style gin with big grapefruity citrus notes.
Nose: Lots of citrus - grapefruit, sharp orange and lemon flesh especially. Some floral notes and sweetness.
Palate: Light and sweet - citrus strong again with liquorice and lots of woody spice.
Finish: Lingering bitter citrus peel.

Nice gin, grapefruit coming through at the end makes it a perfect pallette cleanser and makes you go back for more.

It is very fresh and citrus but agree could do with a little more umph from more or better juniper dryness. Albeit a great newcomer

Phenomenal gin with an actual real distillery in London!

It's perfectly obvious why this new artisan gin was immediately picked up by Fortnum and Masons as spirit of the month as soon as you taste it.
It's fresh and interesting with a good finish, it has all the qualities you'd hope for.

Not the most interesting of the new gins that have sprung up. Lots of grapefruit, but it lacks the oily juniper that a London Dry needs.
