I saw last year on French TV channel ARTE a great documentary about Bruichladdich whisky distillery and I bought this bottle for my father's christmas . I'm usually not a whisky amator but this one is more than a simple " whisky " . Incredible taste and color and my father was very pleased with this gift . We tasted this whiskey while watching the documentary , it was interresting to see the manufacture of what we were drinking . I will take an other this year .

Really enjoyed this bottle, I thought I was taking my time with it, but it still went far too quickly (doh!). My first Madeira / Islay experience, just a wee dash of water for this one. Find a big comfy chair, close your eyes and enjoy... Or - for the more 'esoteric' experience, enjoy it with smoked salmon and a tattie scone :-) Slanje...

My 1st bottle of bruichladdich, Very nice, diffrent to most isla malts I have tried (I.e lagavulin 16, laphroig): less peaty, sweeter finish with little fire, smooth. Dangerously drinkable. Some similar tastes to glenfiddich 21 but more complex with less toffee, no tobbaco. Just my opinion; not an expert by any means. Buy it and enjoy slowly!
