A blend of aged rums from Guyana and Barbados, which are shipped to Williams & Humbert in Spain. The rums are then blended and aged for a further five years in ex-sherry casks (three years in Palo Cortado and two in Pedro Ximenez), giving the finished product a fabulous complexity.

Wow! This is terrific stuff. The nose dominated by fruity, woody sherry aromas. The classic rum smell is in the background. The taste is very sweet with dried fruit flavours mixed in with dark caramel - again the sherry really comes through. There is almost no burn but your throat is warmed. You'd never suspect it was 40%. This is into rum liqueur territory really. It's unique. Not remotely the sort of rum you'd buy to mix with coke. Very highly recommended.
